What kinds of jobs are there for archaeologists?
Dr. dig responds:
There are plenty of jobs for archaeologists--not all are jobs that involve digging, and few archaeologists I know dig all year round. Most
archaeologists do field work for part of the year (usually in the summer) and then spend the rest of the year writing up the results of their
research, and working in museums or for government organizations, or teaching in universities. Some archaeologists become specialists in
certain scientific fields, such as conservation, archaeobotany, or radiometric dating and work in laboratories.
