Questions about becoming an archaeologist

What specialties are there within the field of archaeology?

Dr. dig responds:
There are many specialities in the field of archaeology, enough to suit the interests of just about anyone!

For the person who enjoys art, there is the history of art and architecture. For the scientist, there is artifact analysis, soil science, geology, and conservation. For the outdoorsy type, there is fieldwork. For the artist, there is drafting. For the adventurous, there is underwater archaeology and aerial survey.

I could go on! Epigraphy, linguistics, anthropology, paleobotony, and more. Is there a particular speciality that interests you?
