Questions about becoming an archaeologist

How much does an archaeologist make? What jobs can an archaeologist work on?

Dr. dig responds:
Well, like most professionals, there are a few archaeologists who earn a lot of money and a lot who don't. Many archaeologists that I know are employed by universities or by the government, and their salaries are usually pretty moderate--about like that of a school teacher.

People generally decide to become archaeologists because they find the subject interesting, not because they think they will get rich by it.

Best wishes for your lucrative future in archaeology!
