Questions about Asia and the Pacific
Who invented fireworks?
Dr. dig responds:
Chinese alchemists discovered gunpowder in the 8th century A.D. while they were carrying out experiments to find the elixir of life. By the 10th century, gunpowder was being used in China to make fireworks, but we don't know the name of the person who first discovered this booming and brilliant use for gunpowder.
