Can you tell me about Egyptian beer?

Studies have been made from the traces of beer found in the bottom of beer jars and from breweries discovered in ancient Egypt. With the use of electron microscopes, some palaeobotanists in England have been able to determine the ingredients used to make Egyptian beer. From this study, they have discovered that the Egyptians flavoured their beer, not with hops, but with imported herbs, such as cardamon.
